Studying for JEE can be stressful, challenging and at times, demotivating. So much to do, so little time! By following these simple tips, you can be productive and crack the exam!
Switch it up! – Try changing your workspace, sitting in one space for a long period of time can get monotonous. Try looking for another empty space in your house, it can also be a library or a café! (make sure there are no distractions and you don’t run into your friends!
Study Supplies! – Take a break, and stock up on pens, pencils and post it notes. Sometimes, something as simple as changing the colour of your pen can work wonders.
Kit-Kat Break! – Keep water and a stash of snacks next to you, munching on some brain foods can boost up your productivity and will keep you energized. Avoid things like burgers or pizzas, they often give short bursts of energy but can also make you sleepy.
Silent Zone – turn off your cellphones or any other electronic item that might distract you in the process of studying. You do not want to be taking calls from friends and family members when you’re trying to study. Let them know in advance that you need time to study, if you think they’ll be concerned.
Set Goals! – Think in specific, achievable goals instead of vague generalities. Instead of telling yourself, “I have to get good at math,” think of a specific goal such as, “I will learn how to graph a quadratic equation.”, this will help you feel accomplished and productive.
Dream a bit? – In order to keep up a positive attitude, try to visualize the good things that will come to you by studying. Imagine getting a good score in JEE!
My last tip to you is, just get started! The sooner you begin, the sooner you’ll be done!
